Fantje s Praprotna is a legendary and well-known Slovenian folk vocal music group known by everyone who ever listened to the Lojze Slak ensemble. The male sextet from Selška dolina got their name in 1962 after performing in Železniki and after winning at the local talent show Pokaži, kaj znaš.
Then they were asked to cooperate with Lojze Slak and they performed together until the end of his career. Today the group that celebrated its fiftieth anniversary four years ago still has two members from the original line-up: Janez Dolenc in Andrej Bergant, who was 77 last year.
Fantje s Praprotna are now performing independently and in cooperation with the band Igor in Zlati zvoki, and we you can listen to them on the Jubilejnik stage at the beginning of the Friday night.
