Internationally he is known by his stage name HouseMouse and lately also by Monom. Stane Špegel, composer, instrumentalist, producer and author of multimedia contents, is part of the Slovenian art scene for over thirty years now.

He released fourteen solo albums and eight albums as a member of different bands (The Stroj, Fuzit, Amfibia, Neurobic, Kissik, Dig, BioNet). His songs were included in several local and foreign collections and his covers of other performers like Elevators, the French duo AIR are also famous and the controversial Eurovision group Sestre. In September 2003, his adaptation of the classical creation Gymnopedie No. 1 by Erik Satie was among the top three adaptations chosen in an international tender.

Just this month, under the name Monom, he released his new EP Seacrets, the first from a series of EPs that will be published by Stane Špegel in the coming months at the German publisher Plusquam Records Labelgroup. Seacrets brings four new chill-out songs that were performed by their author, composer and producer on a photon guitar and an old dusty vocoder.
