Exclusive rock show on the last day of the festival!
Philip Xenidis, better known as Phil X, is a Canadian guitar player, singer and author, one of the best studio guitar players in the world and also the main guitar player of the band Bon Jovi, who recently completed recording the new album This House Is Not for Sale that will be released in September this year.
He is coming to Laško with his band The Drills and this will be their only performance on summer festivals in Europe. The Drills are also about to release their fourth album Stupid Goodlooking, which will feature 9 excellent drummers. Phil X describes their music as a mixture of Elvis Costello and KISS, with a pinch of Foo Fighters.
He started in 1982 with the heavy metal band Sidinex (anagram of his last name), after 1987 he continued his musical career in bands Aldo Nova, Triumph and The Bushdoctors, while performing on albums of famous artists like Tommy Lee, Methods of Mayhem, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Orianthi, Rob Zombie, Chris Daughtry, Alice Cooper, Thousand Foot Krutch…
In 2011, he replaced the Bon Jovi guitar player Ritchie Sambora for the first time, because he was on rehab, and two years later, he became a full member of the band with the Because We Can tour.
On stage and in the studio, Phil X uses many different guitars from his extensive personal collection. In cooperation with the German producer Framus, they also created his signature guitar, which experts consider as one of the best rock instruments in the world.
